DRAG CHAIN CONVEYORS
Drag chain conveyors typically feature a continuous loop design, incorporating twin strands of hollow pin chain.
These chains are driven by a common shaft, which is connected to a geared motor unit. The entire system is encased within an enclosed framework, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
The operational principle of this system is straightforward yet effective. Products are introduced into the conveyor via an input chute. Once inside, scraper bars attached to the twin-chain arrangement drag the materials along the length of the conveyor, facilitating smooth and controlled transportation.
Drag chain conveyors offer extensive customisation options to accommodate various industrial needs. A wide range of sprockets and chains is available, allowing for adaptation to different payload requirements.
Central Conveyors can manufacture frameworks using various materials to suit specific environmental conditions. Common options include mild steel for general applications, 304 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance, and 316 stainless steel for superior durability in harsh or corrosive environments.
